How Does the Pro871C™ Underground Cable Locator Work? The Pro871C™ transmits an easy-to-follow signal in 5 different selectable modes.  Any of these 5 different modes allows users to locate the path of underground cables.  Simply connect the transmitter to the wire to be located using the included alligator clip cord set or use either of the 2 wireless inductive modes and turn it on.
