It's designed for 2 layers but can easily be one layer. ** Made for all thicknesses of material.** There are 6 formats included for the Sign Files (svg, ai, dxf, pdf, png, jpg). The bonus keychain files are SVG only.The signs are easy to cut with 1 sheet of Glowforge size material. However, I used white board for the backer and engraved the quote. The quote could also be scored instead. The top layer, I used Purebond Maple and spray painted after cutting (pre-painting is good too). The top layer is a single cut (no engraving, no scoring). I used super glue to adhere top layer to bottom layer.
