Elk Handle Damascus Camp Knife

This blade was hand-forged and forge-welded with layers of 1095 high-carbon steel and 15N20 nickel steel with a 1095 core.  The layers formed a unique crushed w twisted Damascus pattern.  The blade was forged to shape, then differentially hardened and heat treated for both edge hardness and spine flexibility, then tempered to give you the ability to keep a sharp cutting edge.  The handle is crafted from elk antler.  A hand-crafted cowhide leather sheath is included. A one-of-a-kind blade that is a piece of art as well as a very capable and useful tool.
