The Land This is an exceptional Grand Cru from the famed Musigny vineyard, located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. This particular parcel within Musigny comprises 2.82 acres and is located on the top of the hill between Les Amoureuses and Les Echezeaux. The soils are a mix of marl and limestone at the top of the hill, and they are more rocky and well-draining at the bottom, similar to the soils in Les Amoureuses. The vines, planted between 1947 and 1962, are meticulously cared for, and are a true example of the incredible character that is possible when the best of both man and nature combine. The Wine The 2017 vintage is made with 100% destemmed Pinot Noir and a 10-15 day ambient yeast fermentation in open wooden vats. The wine is then aged for 18 months in barrel (15% new) before being racked twice and transferred to stainless steel for a further three months of aging before bottling.
