The Land: The Poderi Aldo Conterno estate is located in Bussia, at the very heart of the Barolo wine region in Monforte d’Alba. This historic vineyard spans 25 hectares, all meticulously cultivated and exclusively vinifying its own grapes. Sitting at an elevation of 350 to 400 meters, the vineyards are positioned South and South-West, ensuring optimal sun exposure. The soil, composed of clayey marls, limestone, and layers of sand, contributes to the deep structure and elegance of the wines. Known for low yields, the estate’s production is limited to just 90,000 bottles annually, with a focus on quality over quantity. The harvest begins in mid-September, entirely manual, with a strict selection process to ensure only the finest grapes are used. The Wine: The Langhe Rosso Quartetto is a blend of Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Syrah, each variety contributing to this unique wine. The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-October, with a meticulous selection process ensuring only the best
