Round labret carved from premium Lapis Lazuli stone, prized since antiquity for its intense color. Mined as early as 7th century BC, Lapis can be found in Egyptian and Sumerian artifacts and was ground to make highly desirable "ultramarine" blue paint during the Baroque era. Our material is a high quality blue with some sporadic inclusion of calcite and pyrite.
