
Combined BSIS Handcuffing & Chemical Weapons Training Course
The combined Handcuffing & Chemical Weapons Training Course is an 8-hour course, with lecture, written test, and hands on practical training. The Handcuffing Course will cover how to properly place handcuffs in an efficient and safe manner in order to reduce the risk of injury to the person being handcuffed and to the guard. The Chemical Weapons portion of this course is designed to teach students discretion and restraint in the use of chemical weapons as well as techniques for proper pepper spray/tear gas handling. The course will cover the moral and legal aspects of chemical weapons usage. An inert canister will be used for practice spraying on a target. The students will not be sprayed. Students must successfully pass the training and written exam before a HandcuffTraining Certificate and Chemical Weapons Training Certificate can be issued at the end of the course.
