The Yupik EDC Knife

The Yupik EDC (Every Day Carry) is designed after its predecessor, the Yupik. Both knives are named in honor or the Yupik Alaska native people I had the privilege to live and work with, and learn so much from. I wanted to design an ultra-lightweight knife using the best components available. A knife not just for survival purposes, but one that could be used as a primary blade, all day long. After a few prototypes, over a couple years, and excellent advice from Forged in Fire champion blacksmith Scott Sweder, the Yupik EDC was finalized.  Scott makes these one at a time at his Montana forge. Each is numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. MagnaCut is the steel of choice for the Yupik EDC. This super-steel was developed by Dr. Larrin Thomas, and is considered by many knife authorities to be a breakthrough in metallurgy.
