Hand Dyed fleece felting spinning Tunis Lamb Reds

Tunis is a rare heritage breed which has been in the US since the 1700’s.  Originally a gift to George Washington from Tunisia the breed has developed its own specific qualities from the original stock.  The lambs are born red and as they mature developed a lovely creamy color with a spring texture.  Yarn Spin from Tunis will have a definite spring and sponge factor. The fleece comes from a Tunis Lamb  who lives rightDown the road from me in Kentucky. The fleece is not coated, and veggie matter is very minimal. To process for spinning, I recommend flicking the ends and spinning from the fold or hand carding or combing. Fabulous for felting as well. weight: 3.5 ounces  staple 3-4” Discounted due to veggie matter.  This little one really enjoyed everything.
