Imaginary Authors A Cloud of Cocoa (Edible Perfume) Sample

What we think: This collaboration between fragrance house Imaginary Authors and ice cream brand Salt & Straw smells delicious! The cocoa is so rich, yet it's not bitter or overly dark. It's also not too babyish either. We think this is a surprisingly well-done chocolate scent, and really holds it's own as a smell - it's not just worth trying for the fun kitsch factor of being edible. The malted ice cream type of vibe comes through as well, and the whiskey adds a roundness and warmth, without outright making it smell alcohol-y or overly boozy. This is the kind of chocolate scent that smells like you're in an actual chocolatier or bakery where chocolate is being made; it really comes across like the scent of the air in those type of chocolate places. Nice! And yes, this really is edible! Salt & Straw recommends spraying several sprays on top of your ice cream and then giving it a go. Part of our Chocolate Collection.
