From small boards to large blocks, this DCT bench holdfast makes frequent clamping simple. It is an 8-inch clamp with a 4-inch reach and 5/8-inch shaft diameter to use with any bench thickness from 2.5 inches and up. It can be used in applications where you need to consistently shift your workpiece such as in carving, routing, sanding, finishing, and general woodworking jobs. The rough stem and uniquely hooked profile offer a strong hold on difficult workpieces. To use, drill a vertical 3/4-inch hole in your workbench top and drop the holdfast in place. When the arm contacts the top of your stock, give the holdfast head a firm tap until it jams tightly in the hole.
