Our crew and the two Prime Barrel members tasted samples from four barrels aged for 8 yrs (samples # 7, 8, 11, 12). Three out of the four barrels were aged in Dietsville, 3rd floor. The last barrel (sample #11) was from Bardstown, 3rd floor. After tasting the flight of samples, the decision was quick and unanimous - sample #11 was the clear winner. Yes, it's not a barrel-proof selection - those are sadly not available in NY thanks to draconian regulations - but it's still very good what it is, and at the offered price point, it's a no-brainer.
