The FSC, Fan Speed Control, controls the speed of single-phase RS, RSV, GSV, RSHT fans, and ventilators. The FSC is specifically designed to allow a user to vary the speed of split-capacitor motors. The control works by reducing the line voltage to the motor, allowing the fan to use only the energy required to maintain the desired volume of airflow (fan speed).
