These Photonis High Gain intensifier tubes feature ultra-fast auto-gating technology, manual gain control, and surpass typical US Gen 3 gain levels. Their superior auto-gating allows them to maintain optimal resolution across all light levels. To convert the gain value on the Photonis data sheet to an equivalent US Gen 3 gain value, multiply the gain value by 3.14159. Example: 27,000 gain multiplied by 3.14159 = 84,822.93. The gain values are shown in the unit drop-down selection with the US converted values in parenthesis. For reference, Elbit and L3 often range 60-70k gain value.
