Over the years he's had stints in Echo & The Bunnymen, The Psychedellic Furs, Spiritualized and The Wild Swans to name a few. This is his solo debut.Reknowned for his incendiary guitar work and distinctive style it seems incredible that only now are we seeing a solo debut proper. The record is inspired by the work of American author and Godfather of the cosmic-horror genre H.P. Lovecraft. Mooney had long been a fan of Lovecraft’s work but through rereading much of his work during the coronavirus lockdown an idea for an album was planted. Using the titles of Lovecraft’s work as a springboard, Mike started recording.
