This event description is just for reference!  Learn to knit a squishy Artists Point Cowl in this beginner-level class taught by Dorothy Broomall, owner of local Dappled Fern yarn shop. Dorothy will teach you basic skills like how to read a knitting pattern, prepare your yarn, knit stitch, purl stitch, cast on, cast off, how to fix mistakes, and wash/block finish. We’ll use a bulky, super soft 100% merino yarn hand-dyed by regional dyers and inspired by North House! We’ll take a field trip to knit at Dappled Fern one afternoon for a fun change of scenery and you’ll have plenty of time to work on your project and get support from the instructor as you knit up your cowl.
