Native to the slopes of Oregon and Northern California fir forests, coastal scrub, and chaparral regions. Coin-like rosettes (1 to 1.5 inch wide) of light green, edged with red in full sun. Tiny baby coins appear on thin wires off each main rosette--a constellation of adorable little alien offshoots. Blooms up to 8 inches tall are dense stars of deep yellow.  Mature size: 4-8 in T x W Minimum temperature: -10° F
