A native to South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe, Schizostylis coccinea comes from moist stream banks and is one of the last plants to initiate flowering in the fall. Hopefully, some of these intense crimson blooms make it to the vase before heavy frost. 18 -24" tall and colonizing. Does very well in our gardens and likes moist soils. Minimum temperature: 0° F
