Narrow, trifoliate, dark green leaves do their best to be evergreen. At 4 inches tall, it spreads to form an attractive carpet dense enough to suppress weeds. A sprinkling of small and pretty white flowers bloom just over the foliage throughout much of the summer. Could this be a lawn substitute? It's tough, withstands sun or shade, moist or dry conditions, and you could walk on it (but might not want to — the stems have woody bases.)
