A bold native from SW Oregon and NW California for wet to moist soils.  The rounded leaves with lobed edges range from 10 to 20 inches and upward-cupping to catch a pretty pool of rainwater. Each leaf is supported by its own thick maroon stem rising from significant rhizomes. Large, ornamental pink and white umbels bloom in mid-spring, and leaves blush beautifully in late summer. In fall through early winter, the leaves take on a captivating glow reminiscent of smoldering embers before going dormant. Blackish edges highlight the vibrant red and orange hues of autumn foliage, creating a striking and enchanting display. Do keep it moist in summer — it can be grown in full sun with sufficient water.
