A seeming contradiction in terms: a vining bleeding heart! But it's one of several. Dainty clusters of narrow, yellow, heart-shaped flowers on a supremely delicate, but vigorous vine; surprises your friends and neighbors — who knew there were vining and yellow bleeding hearts! It blooms from July through October, its fading flowers then becoming nice, bean-like seed pods. It appreciates cool, well-draining soil, because, after all, it came to us from the Himalayas. 10-foot tall, twining, perennial vine that will latch onto anything it finds with its tiny tendrils. Let it clamber over a less lovely shrub. Minimum temperature: -20° F
