Myriads of tiny white flowers burst into a blizzard of bloom in late summer. Their woody stems creep along the ground from the central crown to form a fine, feathery mound that is dense enough to suppress weeds. Effective in the rockery or as a ground cover in sharply draining soil. When flowers turn brown they can simply be brushed off.  We cut ours in winter, and we watch in anticipation every summer as it creeps back over our rocks. It's an amazing perennial that you might hear before you see it, as the bees COVER the plant while it's in bloom. A highlight of the early September garden.  Mature size: 3-5 in tall by 3 ft wide — count on it. Minimum temperature: -40° F
