Amsonia hybrida 'Blue Ice', Blue Star

Clusters of vivid, purplish-blue star flowers emerge from purple-black buds in late spring and summer. Golden-yellow fall foliage color makes it valuable in the fall garden, too, especially when planted in a drift. Best in full sun. Drought-tolerant once established but does its' best with some summer water (~once a week). Mature size: 2 ft T x W Minimum temperature: -20° F (The last three pics show fall leaf color.)
