This slow-growing deciduous tree, broadly conical, has a tropicalesque and blousy visage with the prettiest, pale, silvery light green leaves* with darker veins. Its upright, conical, floral racemes in late spring are likewise pretty and pale, a soft yellow or cream. A dark, coniferous background would show it off to best advantage and give it some needed shade. The original seedling was discovered by William Wisselink in Holland. Mature size: 40 feet tall & 25 feet wide Minimum temperature: -30° F *It's not uncommon for young Aesculus hippocastanum 'Wisselink' to take up to a year to manifest the silver overlay true to form.
