360 Systems TSS-2470II - DualZone Time Delay Server
The TSS-2470II DualZone Time Delay can alter the delay time on-the-fly, handling simple time zone shifting, mountain minute style commercial insertion or disaster recovery operations. 4 Delay Presets and traditional jog/shuttle allow you to play any portion of the delayed program from 30 seconds to a day or more. Features: Single channel input, two delay outputs Independent delays from 30 seconds to 24 hours Quick set the delay anywhere in the recorded video Play, pause, jog, shuttle to any point within the recorded time HD-SDI or SD-SDI I/O High quality 10bit, H.264 @ 100Mbs video Control from anywhere with the included Remote Workstation software GPIO controls 16 channels of embedded audio Encodes VANC data such as Closed Captions (608 or 708) and AFD Redundant power, cooling and RAID 5 drive protection Small 1U form factor Server grade components, Linux® OS The newest addition to an ever growing video delay server solutions Expanding the single channel ingest Variable Time Delay TSS-2470II to include an additional output channel, not only extends the ability of a single server but increases the usefulness. Just as in the original TSS-2470II, with the DualZone Variable Server the amount of delay time can be adjusted on-the-fly from 30 seconds to 24 hours or more depending on storage and resolution, without loss of any currently recorded time. Maintaining a simple user interface makes adjusting and readjusting the amount of delay time easy. Establish an initial delay time in the primary delay window, then utilizing any of the four preset buttons or transport controls, change the delay as needed. This methodology provides users with a simple way to initiate different amounts of delay time without the need for manual recording and rebroadcasting. The input feed is automatically delayed the set amount of time without any further user intervention required. Multiple applications Time zone shifting is not the only use of the TSS 2470II DualZone delay server. Another benefit of the second output is as a way to review previously broadcasted material for quality assurance. Since the variable time delay allows for the use of straight forward transport controls, the second output channel can be used to review 24 or more hours of previously recorded content. The server can also be used a a disaster recovery system storing as much as a weeks worth of content that can be retrieved and replayed at the push of a button. The locate function provides quick access a time previously recorded by simply selecting the recorded on day and entering the time. As with all of 360's time delay systems, video is stored using H.264 compression at 100Mbps to reproduce the delayed feed with exceptional quality. Like the TSS-2470II, the DualZone still supports all broadcast formats – HD at 720p, 1080i, and NTSC/PAL SD at frame rates of 29.97 or 25Hz. Because the TSS-2470II DualZone transports high-value program content, it also employs server grade components with a four-drive, RAID 5 storage disk array for enhanced reliability. Drives, power supplies and fans are hot swappable with redundancy allowing the system to continue running without downtime. With its 1U space saving chassis design, low power consumption, multiple fan forced-air cooling systems, and the dependable Linux® based OS, the TSS-2470II DualZone Time Delay server maintains the quality and reliability customers expect from the 360 Systems TSS Servers. Should the the TSS-2470II DualZone system need to be controlled from a remote location, the included Remote Workstation software application can be used to connect to the server GUI or the optional GPIO triggers may be implemented. Other features include high-quality 10 bit video with up to 16 channels of embedded audio and support for closed captions and other VANC data. A live feed monitor output and frame accurate delay from 30 seconds to 24 hours or more, round out an excellent standard feature set.
