Velvet Wrapped Baptism Candles | 17 & 21"

This design's simplicity and versatility make it perfect for a variety of baptisms, accommodating different cultural backgrounds and various age ranges. Candles wrapped in rich velvet ribbon accented elegantly with a white satin bow. This handmade design can be purchased as a set (One 21” Lambada and Two 17” Candles) or individually in both sizes. The 21” candles have a 1” diameter. The 17" candles have a 3/4" diameter. Candles burn at the rate of approximately 1” per hour and are smoke and drip-resistant. These hand-dipped taper candles are created from a blend of superior-quality paraffin wax with a pure cotton wick for a slow and calm burn. In a traditional Greek Baptism, the godparent (“nonos” or “nona”) holds the larger candle. The 17” candles are small enough to be easily held by children or any other participant going around the font. The larger candle is lit for the three consecutive Sundays following the Baptism when the newly baptized receives Holy Communion.
