The SmartSYNC™ plasma torch uses Hypertherm's proprietary one-piece consumable cartridge, for up to 5X longer consumable life and more consistent cuts. A single, color-coded cartridge contains all the necessary consumables for plasma cutting or gouging, in one convenient assembly.  The smart cartridge eliminates the need to individually replace the plasma cup, tip, electrode and swirl ring - saving time and reducing parts inventory.  RFID chips in both the consumable cartridge and SmartSYNC torch take the guesswork out of your machine set up by automatically setting the Powermax45 SYNC to the correct cut/gouge settings - no manual adjustments
