Basking

After shooting an amazing sunrise, an egret appeared and took advantage of the low tide at the shoreline of Biscayne Bay. The bird stood steadfast and I was able to isolate it from the surrounding area. The blazing golden orange reflection from the sun created a soothing background for this composition. Admittedly, I am not a bird photographer but I do love the minimalistic feel of this image.
