Florentin Vibes
When planning my last trip to Israel, I wanted to capture photos that offered a different side of Israel. In order to accomplish this, I searched for places off of the beaten path. I wanted to capture different aspects of Israel and did this in Tel Aviv. I ventured into the Florentin neighborhood for hours one morning and could not get over the voluminous compositions that I found. I walked and walked and walked to take it all in, hoping I wouldn't miss anything. The area is so expansive that I will have plenty to photograph on my next trip. I took advantage of the fact that this area is not on the itineraries of any guides. It was early in the morning and I felt as though I had the entire neighborhood to myself. It's a neighborhood in transition from low on the socio- economic scale to young, hip, and artsy. Although a residential area, there are a number art galleries, restaurants, markets and some commercial businesses. What a vibe in the Florentin area.
