1939 Sears Supertone Jumbo Acoustic - Sunburst w/ Case

Now here is something we don't see often, a late 1930's Supertone Jumbo! We have had a nice steady supply cool old Supertone guitars over the years, but this is a model that we have yet to get our hands on. The body is large, but it isn't really Dreadnaugt shaped. The lower bout is just a tad wider than 15" across, with an 11.25" upper bout, and a body depth that is  3-7/8" deep at the lower bout. It's big, but not huge. It doesn't "boom" like a traditional American Jumbo and has a nice dark wooly tone with a percussive quality. It's fun to play and works well with fingers or a pick. Everything appears to be original, and the only signs of previous repair are a back/rim separation (very common on old acoustics) that has been repaired. It isn't a perfect job, but it was done a long time ago and is solid and stable so we left it alone. There are the usual worn spots and signs of use one should expect on a guitar this old, but we don't see any signs of abuse. It's original, and intact, an
