Therefore, I was very excited when I contacted Oskar and was given permission to make it. A scarce puzzle in the past, very limited quantities were made by Tom Lensch and Trevor Wood. Trevor interpreted the puzzle with very solid thicknesses and construction. Tom's, on the other hand, was painstakingly made using ultra thin wood to resemble actual matchboxes. I have taken a sort of in between path, with moderately thin stock and dimensions which stylize the puzzle and make it more compact in appearance. It's very nice when a design allows for interpretation from the craftsman, and I especially enjoyed making this one!
