This sliced flat heart stands on its own with a flat base and is literally a collector's dream! This sculpture was hand cut into a heart shape around the crystal cavity and has been given a Natural high polish to show off it's raw beauty, and to offer the heart collector a "one of a kind" item. Agates are unique and fascinating pieces and come in wide varieties. Agate is a variety of chalcedony, a cryptocrystalline form of quartz. Translucency, patterns of color, or moss-like inclusions may distinguish this stone from other forms of chalcedony.  Agates can show a wide variety of vivid, multiple colors. These are principally the result of traces of oxides of iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, nickel, and other elements. Agates are a tough gemstone with a Mohs scale of 6.5-7 and can be easily polished for jewelry making and other types of products. Agates can be found in South Africa, India, Mexico, the US, Scotland, Brazi
