Polychrome Jasper, Tumbled

Polychrome Jasper is only found on the Northern Coast of Madagascar. The deposit of Polychrome Jasper was only recently, and accidentally, discovered in 2008 while looking for Ocean Jasper. Polychrome Jasper only forms in huge masses and has to be hand-dug because of the difficult terrain and conditions. It was originally named Desert Jasper because of its shades of brown, tan, and red. The colors are caused by inclusions of iron.  The metaphysical properties of Polychrome Jasper are both powerful and nurturing.
