Amazonite Moon Carving

Carry the moon in the palm of your hand!  The moon is a divine feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle as well as illumination, enlightenment, and the intimate relationship between our subconscious and conscious.  This celestial carving is Amazonite. The gem was first named “Amazon stone”, after the Amazon River - although there are no known occurrences near that river. Amazonite has been used as a gem for over 2000 years. It has been found in archaeological excavations of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Amazonite ranges from colorless to white, yellow, bluish, pink, red, gray, or many different shades of green, from pale green to bluish aqua-green.
