Mini French Apple Cakes

Nothing marks the beginning of fall like a crispness in the air, the changing of the leaves & a homemade apple dessert.  These French apple cakes are a delicate treat that allows the simplicity of the apple to shine!  The traditional French cake has a rum based batter, but I’ve developed a nonalcoholic version that also incorporates the perfect autumn spice - cinnamon.  Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and celebrate everything that is fall!
