Artist StatementDon't let the grind become the most important thing in your life. During Pride month it is easy to see our schedule fill up and get swallowed by all the festivities and the uptick of creative work. It is important to remember why we celebrate Pride and to honor those brave souls who rioted for equal rights, by helping the members of our community who may not have reasons to celebrate yet. For me, Pride begins in my community and it is all about human connections. Make yourself available to members of our community who are in need; listen to them, give them your time and be there for them. — Oscar Hidalgo Balarezo
