These rustic looking birds are mounted on a approximately 3.5" wood birch round so they will sit nicely on any flat surface. Because of the nature of the wood rounds sizes are approximate and each item may have a different look to them making each piece unique. Metal is 16 guage raw metal, meaning it WILL get a rusty patina if left outside in the elements. Birds will come unassembled to birch round with two screws supplied for assembly.
