Longarm Quilting Class: Quilting Certification using Handi Quilter Machine - Part 1

Longarm Quilting Certification Classes: Part 1, the basics. Learn to Longarm so you can Quilt Your Own Quilts! This is the first of a 2-part class on how to use the Handi Quilter longarm machine. Classes scheduled include all supplies needed to learn how to quilt on the machine.  You will not bring a finished piece home with you.  All supplies are for practice only. We will be practicing on materials provided by the shop.  During your certification class you will learn:•  operation and care of the machine, start-up basics•  loading the quilt on the frame (backing, batting, top)•  thread loading, bobbin winding, and tension control•  the basics of free motion quilting•  moving the quilt down and starting a long jump•  removing the quilt from the frame•  shutting down the machineUpon completion of your certification classes Part 1 and 2, you are eligible to rent our longarm quilting machines.   Level: Advanced Quilting ClassClass size: 2 person limitFeel free to bring a lunch or snacks to class.Instructor: Kelly Taylor
