Intro to English Paper Piecing with Sailor Holladay, 7/20/24, 9:30am-12:30pm
In this class we will be learning the basics of English Paper Piecing (EPP) and then sew our EPP onto a piece of linen. Once learned, EPP is very relaxing and a wonderful quilting technique for portable, non-electric stitching. All materials for your first EPP piece are provided by our instructor, Sailor Holladay, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer (and we have many supplies here at Craft Emporium to help feed your EPP love): Quilting fabric scraps bigger than 2 inches 50 wt or 60 wt cotton thread for piecing (preferred brands are Wonderfil Efina and Aurifil, both of which Craft Emporium carries) A tea towel or napkins for stitching EPP shapes onto Embroidery thread for hand quilting Milliner's needle Size 10 Embroidery needle
