Who are we? Are we our name?  Are we our nationality? Are we our family? In this story, full of magic realism, Antonia, without wanting to, begins to discover who she is.  At the same time the story carries the reader down a path of reconnection to the land, roots and ancestors.  Every year in August the. most important parade of the year takes place in Medellín.   The Parade of the Silleteros. This story is written for students of Level 4, Heritage speakers and students of IB or AP.  It has around 550 word families, of which about 80 are cognates with English.  The book is accompanied by beautiful illustrations by a Colombian illustrator.  At the end of the book there is an extensive Spanish-English glossary to support the comprehension of the reader.  In addition, there are cultural explanations, questions to contemplate and a grammatical explanation of the voseo.
