Charles Krug Chardonnay Carneros 2021 Napa Valley

The 2021 growing season was warm and quite stable with crop loads lighter than normal due to drought conditions throughout the state.  Harvest of the lighter weight but intensely flavored clusters began in mid-August for whites, and extended into the red varietals into mid-October. Sourced from Carneros, and hand-picked in the cool of night, the grapes reached the winery in pristine condition. This elegantly balanced, medium-bodied wine is 53% French oak barrel fermented and aged sur lies.  The wine's bouquet is complex with lemon blossom, white floral, and star fruit; with bright citrus, a hint of apple, and toasty oak on the long finish. 750mL
