12" Purple Haze - Marla Leigh Series Tar

This Purple Haze model  is offers a completely different drumming experience than the other two drums in the Marla Leigh series.  It is the smallest diameter in this series, with a substantively deeper, making it an agile small sized drum with a significant "punch."  We combine this shell design with a Remo® Ebony head to extends the midrange tonal palette. We’ve dramatically rolled the exterior, playing-side edge (a “roundover bevel”), to give this drum a fat mellow sound with reduced overtones. This design also  facilitates fast finger-snaps and split-hand techniques, supporting the exploration of Persian, Indian and Turkish drumming techniques that Marla brings to her performances and teachings. 4 3/4" depth, single-ply steam bent Vermont Cherry wood.
