The upgraded Foredom 1/6 hp, ball bearing, hang-up style motor with speeds up to 18,000 rpm operates in both forward and reverse rotation (left handed users will appreciate this feature). The foot operated speed control has solid state electronics and comes in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide design. The #30 Handpiece is the most popular general purpose handpiece featuring a 3-jaw, geared chuck with a 0-5/32" capacity...that means it can accept mandrels from the size of a hair up to 5/32". A chuck key is provided for tool changes. For those who want the speed and ease of changing tools quickly, select the Foredom 2220 Kit which includes a quick change handpiece.
