It is a versatile baseplate that can be used to mount a variety of Foxboro I/A Series modules, including input/output modules, control modules, and communication modules. Features: Supports standard 200 series baseplates Supports Field Control Processor (FCP) 270 and Field Communication Module (FCM) 100Et Provides 2, 4, and 8 FBM position unit increments and a combination of vertical and horizontal installation Has redundant adapter and module identifier for each module Has DIP switch used to identify certain modular backplanes Can add other 200 series baseboards without stopping system operation (requires redundant bus) Connects 2 Mbps modular Fieldbus connected to standard Fieldbus modules, or 268 Kbps Fieldbus for 100 series FBM Has distributor/terminator for time gating and A/B Fieldbus Can connect optional GPS time strobe pulse for FCP270 a
