BACHMANN DIO248 Digital Input/Output Module
The BACHMANN DIO248 digital input/output module is designed for the control of digital devices such as contactors, relays, pneumatic and hydraulic valves, and for the acquisition of signals from digital sensors, detectors, or switches. It offers the capability to respond to events with 8 available interrupt inputs. Additionally, up to four counters are available for tasks such as position sensing or counting goods. For energy-efficient operation of inductive loads, all outputs can function as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). Notably, for PWM operation of valves, a configurable hold time can be set between 0 to 2 seconds. Outputs can be parallel connected if they operate in the same mode. Features 48 digital channels in total. Out of these, 16 channels can be configured as either inputs or outputs. Offers configurable interrupt inputs for event-based responses. Features a configurable 32-bit counter with multiple modes, including event counting, incremental encoder, gate measurement, cycle time measurement, and frequency measurement. Configurable input filter for enhanced signal stability. Supports PWM output mode, which is especially useful for valve economy operation. Each channel has a status display via LED for quick monitoring. Operates on a supply voltage range of 18 to 34 VDC. Protection against reverse polarity for the supply voltage.
