African Mahogany Dining Table - Handcrafted Furniture

DESCRIPTION: The perfect dining table for various interior design styles. What look are you going for? Is it industrial, modern or rustic reclaimed wood? We call this creation The Majete Dining Table, one of our favorite pieces in the Contour collection. We often drive around Malawi looking for and collecting old pieces of machinery, parts of old boats and cars. We collect these items and after a curating process, we incorporate some of what we gather in our designs. For this design, we used reclaimed steel rebar, found in the village of Majete, near Lake Malawi. Named after the village, this dining table is sleek in profile and high in character. Designed by award-winning artist Jamar Simien, the character of this composition is conveyed with photos, but it's even more impressive in person. Featuring Contour's custom steel legs found and fabricated in Malawi, the design calls on historical elements of Mid Century Modern, but it fearlessly carves it's own path in the world of premium
