Description for JOURNEY BEHIND THE WIND by Patricia Wrightson: THE DEATH-SPIRIT Twice before, Wirrun had saved the land the the People---the Aborigines of Australia.  Now once again, a thing of evil was threatening---an alien thing with no body and red-glowing eyes that drive men to their death by fear.  As a Hero of the People, he must again save them, even though the river-spirits have reclaimed his lovely girl, Murra, leaving him alone and desolate. Aided by the spirits of the land and a few knowing ones of the People, he tracks the master of the mask of fear.  But this is Wulgara, no natural spirit; it is a power from a thing made by men, a death-spirit that seeks vengeance under the guise of using the unjust justice of human law.  And no mortal man can stand against it.  Only one who can go beyond being a Hero can dare the challenge it offers.  And in that challenge, Wirrun must find his final destiny.
