Portugal Flag

Portugal officially adopted this design for its national flag on June 30, 1911. Supposedly the green of this flag represents hope and the red represents the blood of those who died serving the nation. But some sources believe that these meanings are far from being true and were nothing more than propaganda, to give an honorable justification for the nationalist authoritarian regime’s choices.
