I live in Franklin, IN and firmly believe that a good sense of humor, great coffee, and dogs are some of life’s greatest pleasures. I’ve experienced the ups and downs of weight loss and gain and regain my entire life. Like you, I’ve tried it all—counting points, cutting calories, processed “diet” foods, and everything in between to keep my weight under control. In April 2017, I hit a high of 355 lbs, sparking yet another weight loss attempt, which led to a 127 lb loss. But comfort set in, and over the next few years, I regained about 50 lbs. When the pandemic hit, I gained every last pound back. By mid-2021, as travel resumed, I found myself huffing through airports, squeezing into airplane seats, and drained of energy before even getting to my destination. I was BEYOND miserable. My turning point came in late Spring 2023, when I was selected for a work trip to Switzerland scheduled for the summer of 2024. With just a year to prepare, I knew I had to get my act together. I signed up for my first 10lb Takedown in June 2023 and managed to lose about 15 lbs, but I didn’t give it my all. I only partially committed, drinking some of the water and watching some of the videos. But that trip, though a year away, was approaching fast, and I knew I had to step up. In July, I joined the 10 LB Takedown again, and this time, I went ALL IN. Over the next 18 months, I lost 205 lbs and have been maintaining ever since. Having struggled for years, I’m passionate about helping others who’ve faced the same challenges reach their goals ONCE AND FOR ALL.
