Practical Darning & Visible Mending

Give new life to old garments with the magic of mending! In this workshop you'll discover some of the ways to darn and repair your favorite pieces with simple techniques. SKILL LEVELAbsolute Beginner WHAT YOU WILL LEARNsetting up an embroidery hoop, how to select mending material, weaving patches, swiss darning. REQUIRED EXPERIENCENone! You don't need any craft experience to take this class. Must be 9 years or older. REQUIRED MATERIALS4–5" embroidery hoop, a darning needle, scrap fabric to practice on, or actual pieces with holes to mend. We have some scrap pieces of fabric, as well as all other required materials, available for sale in the shop.
